Preaching and Lay Preaching:-
From Sunday June 1st until Sunday June 15th Pastor Lester Reinbott will be here for 3 worshipping Sundays. While he is here, he is conducting a wedding and possibly 2 or 3 baptisms. He will also be available to for other things our little Parish needs.
Bishop Andrew is coming to town from July 25th-30th and we will work out a program closer to the date.
Pastor Jim Bryan has contacted us and offered to come in August from 17th—24th.
Our wonderful lay preaching group have worked through some roster sessions and will be assigning themselves to Sundays for both lay preaching, preaching, Working in the Word and video sermons. We are blessed with such talented and committed people to serve in the Lord’s kingdom.
Baptism :-
“The Holy Spirit has been busy encouraging many caring parents to bring their little ones to Jesus. What wonderful occasions we have shared recently. Make sure you welcome them all into our fold of believers!” If there is anyone else who would like to join us in a future and attend one of these series of three sessions and would like to discuss things for a later time, please contact Helen Taylor at jim47@bigpond.com We pray for God to watch over and bless these discussions and ensure the Holy Spirit leads us to know him more. We are hoping to hold new sessions
Children's Church: -
Helpers are needed to present the Children's Church sessions when Lorraine is away. If you feel that you would be able to help out, please have a chat with Lorraine as soon as possible. All sessions have been prepared in advance so all you would need to do is read through the notes and click on the links for the video and song to prepare yourself to present. The more helpers we have, the less you will be asked to help out. Thank you for considering this rewarding ministry to our children.'
Volunteer Needed -
Alison Salter the Director of the Foundations for Life Early Learning Centre (FFLELC) located at 14 Trower Road is looking for someone who enjoys sewing, including dolls clothes, who might be interested in doing some volunteer work for the Centre. Anyone able to help would be appreciated. She has materials available. Ring her on 8945 4170 or 0411 193 143. Also We initially spoke about doll clothes, but I have thought of some additional ideas, such as cushion covers, dress-ups, doll clothes, blankets, baby bags, or craft aprons. I would be happy to purchase extra materials if needed. There is no specific timeline or expectation for this project; I’m simply looking for someone who might be interested in a small project that would greatly benefit our centre.
TELP Future Planning Working Group: -
TELP leadership entrusted a group chaired by Blaise Buic and selected members along with external expertise of Mel Zerner from LCA who has an Accounting and Business background, with experience in managing Congregation transitions and a wealth of knowledge about LCA its methods and records.
This Working Group is charged with reviewing the management systems including the financial assets of the Congregations to identify options and prepare a report to TELP. When agreed the group will present the findings and suggestions to all Congregation Members equally at a Special General Meeting in Darwin.
Remember: - The Lord loves us and has us in His care.
He knows our needs probably better than we know ourselves and He will answer our prayers in His own way and in His own time. Just say a little prayer to keep us all in tune with each other.
